Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue sole-source one-time procurement for hardware and software upgrade for superDimension, two year plan for the Birmingham VA Medical Center, 700 S. 19th Street, Birmingham, AL 35223. A sole-source procurement will be issued to Covidien, LLC/d/b/a superDimension, A division of Medtronic, because they are the only vendor capable of providing all product and service features, This equipment/software will interface with current system. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)(2), "soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code is 511210 Software publishers and has a size standard of $38.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 1:00pm EST, Jul 27, 2018 to: Margaret.Yeaton@va.gov. Responses received may be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Disclaimer and Important Notes: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organizations qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in GSA eBUY or FBO. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. Determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
