Introduction/Purpose The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for William J Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) Building 303 Chillers Replacement. The FAA currently has a design completed for the replacement of two 1,000 ton water cooled chillers. This submission request will be used to select the chiller(s) make and model that will be used in the project. Chiller selection will be based off of best replacement life cycle value to the Government. Chiller manufacturers who have had chillers 1,000 tons or greater in operation for at least 10 years are requested to respond to this submission in accordance with the attached documents. 2. Standard Language Interested companies are reminded that ď (a) This is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposals of any kind; (b) The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; (c) The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this submission request; and (d) Any costs associated with this request is solely at the interested vendor ôs expense. 3. Submission Requirements Chiller manufacturers are requested to submit the following: (a) Completed Building 303 Chiller 2 and 3 Replacement Life Cycle Cost Analysis Worksheet (b) Other information as required in attached úPreparation of Submittals Ě document 4. Response Requirements All responses must be received via email at Lori.McLaughlin@faa.gov no later than 5 PM (local time) on November 14, 2018. Vendors must contact the Contracting Officer, Lori McLaughlin, with any questions regarding this submission via email only at the email address above. 5. Other (a) The FAA will not be conducting a site visit for the purposes of preparing this submission. (b) Any confidential or proprietary information submitted in response to this announcement must be marked accordingly by the chiller manufacturer. Note that chiller specifications will be used in the resulting SIR. (c) The final results of this chiller selection submission will be included in a large electrical replacement project (installation) anticipated to begin in February 2019. The price of the chillers submitted under this announcement must be maintained for the duration of the electrical replacement project. A final contract to complete this project (installation) will be awarded to an Electrical Contracting Contractor. 6.
