The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Armament, Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC) is seeking companies capable of proving metal finishing for titanium parts with the following requirements: Contractors should be able to provide protective coating to titanium, steel, and stainless steel parts as follows: Plasma Vapor Deposition Coating Prior to applying coating, degrease and ceramic bead blast. Bead blasting shall be controlled and performed using a mesh size sufficiently fine to preserve the required finish surface. Apply Ionbond TC40/41 WCC+DLC or Equivalent, Color: Black, Thickness 0.002 to 0.004 Inches. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video, etc. Items such test data, material specifications, and simulations would be the most preferred documentation. The information provided will not be returned. All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government NO LATER THAN November 13, 2018 to the US Army ARDEC. This is a market survey to be used for informational planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is the Government obligated to issue an RFP. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
