This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24220R0049 Emergency Procurement, Supply and Install Entranceways at Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, N.Y. 11768. This shall be Small Business Set-Aside (SB). As a result, Small Business may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238220 and has a size standard of $16.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $25,000.00 to $100,000.00. SCOPE OF WORK Contractor shall supply all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to perform all work for the installation of two (2) Impact resistant entranceways in Building 200 Clinical Pavilion Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, N.Y. 11768. All meetings, inspections and or work schedules must be coordinated and pre-approved prior to commencement by the Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer s representative (COR). The Contractor shall supply and install two (2) custom made impact resistant entranceways. The custom painted aluminum frame will be constructed with special 2-3/4 x 5-1/2 tubes. The doors will have the following features: full mortise Roton hinge, 7-1/2 bottom rail, cylinder and lock and inside thumb turn, 12 wire offset push pull hardware, a bottom threshold and � clear safety glass. The contractor shall supply and install two (2) automatic door opener MA 3950RHPUS, timing module BF timer 365 and LZR microsacan universal kit, single 10LZRMICROS. One (1) left handed and one (1) right handed. The Contractor shall follow all manufacturer s requirements for a proper installation, including the manufacturers techniques and timeframes to ensure an installation that complies will all manufacturers requirements, VA specifications and generally accepted installation practices which result in a defect free finished product. All tools, materials and personal property shall be properly maintained and secured at all times. The job site shall be cleaned daily and all debris shall be removed. The COR may inspect the work site at any time, without notice. The contractor shall be responsible for safety precautions, including warning signs and barricades during installation and shall have adequate personal on hand to insure a safe working environment. The contractor shall be responsible to remove and dispose all debris from VA property at the contractor s expense. Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday, if work must be done on off duty hours a written request to work other than normal duty hours must be made 3 days in advance. Timely requests shall not be unreasonably denied. All employees of general contractor and or sub-contractor shall comply with the Northport Department of Veterans Affairs security management program and obtain an I.D. Badge from the DVAMC Police Department prior to commencing of work; badges shall be displayed on personal any time they are on DVAMC property. The general contractor is responsible for assuring that all contract or sub-contract workers of this project comply with these regulations, employees shall not enter project site without appropriate badges. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fbo.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about 02/11/2020. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov and be registered and verified as Small Business in https://web.sba.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
