This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition will be made in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and solicitation for commercial Items,� as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation (a written solicitation will not be issued) and quotes are being requested. The Solicitation number is RFQ-NIAID-2008733 and the solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-04, Effective 01/15/2020.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 721110 Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels, with a small business size standard of $35.0 million. The acquisition is being compete full and open with no small business restriction. Description of the Requirement: The Vaccine Research Center is planning a Scientific Retreat in Washington, DC on September 8-9, 2020. The VRC Scientific Training Retreat is designed to train VRC Scientific staff and selected invitees (approx. 600 total attendees) on research being conducted within the Centers laboratories.� In addition, this Training Retreat will facilitate VRC collaborative research with public, academic, and private sector partners who share VRC scientific interests related to vaccine development.� The role of these non-NIH attendees is to advise the VRC regarding optimal future paths or research. The Requirements are Date and time: 0600-1700; 09/08/20-09/09/20 Space for 600 attendees to sit, this includes set-up and takedown by the vendor Additional hall for Exhibits AudioVisual equipment to include personnel to run and manage the AV equipment Location: Washington, D.C. Quote must include: *floorplans of rental space *your DUNS number *Include response to FAR 52.204-4 attachment and return with quote Submission shall be received not later than 3:00 p.m. EST, March 18, 2020. The government intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor as a result of this RFQ that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein.� The award will be based on the following; price, capability to meet the requirements, delivery and the best value to the government.
