The US Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) in support of the Office of Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence (NSDD). The NSDD Science and Engineering Team (SET) is conducting market research to determine the capability of industry to address the prospective requirement described below. For this information, the NAICS code is 334519 ´┐ŻOther Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing and the Small Business Size Standard Number of Employees is 500. NSDD equips international partners with the means to effectively detect the illicit trafficking of special nuclear materials (SNM) and other radioactive sources in the field. NII systems may help increase the overall detection rates of radioactive shielded and unshielded sources. As such, the NSDD is conducting a market survey of NII vendors and the instruments they manufacture. The survey covers any baggage, pallet, gantry, mobile, portal, rail, and trailer systems are currently of most interest, including but not limited to radiography and active interrogation systems. NSDD is particularly interested in learning about radiography systems that are integrated with passive radiation detectors.
