Description

This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures for Rail Construction Equipment (RCE) Company for hydraulic actuated shoe brakes upgrades to existing Nolan tie carts including hook ups to TC75G tie cranes.� RCE is the manufacturer of the shoe brake system and of both the tie cranes and the tie carts utilized at MCAAP. RCE will provide parts and technical expertise to install and interrogate the new system to the tie cranes in the most cost effective manner. Any purchase order will be awarded under �other than full and open competition� as authorized in FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for offers.� A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be consider solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements for this item.
